About Institute of Human Resources Development

Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) is an autonomous educational institution established by the Government of Kerala in 1987. The institute is registered under The Travancore – Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable societies registrations Act 12 of 1955. The Institute's Memorandum of Association and its rules and regulations have been judiciously framed with built-in growth provisions. The management of the institute is vested with a Governing Body composed of with the Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education, Government of Kerala, as the Chairman and Chief Secretary to Government of Kerala as the Vice-Chairman. Institute of Human Resources Development is dedicated to the scientific advancement, technological progress and economic growth of the country through human resources development. Based on the principle, "Think Globally and Act Locally" it endeavours to bring about the welfare of the nation. It endeavours to provide education and training of consistently high stands through innovative and versatile programmes suitable for the current and emerging needs of the community.

About College of Applied Science - IHRD, Kozhikode

College of Applied Science Kozhikode is an avant garde attempt in the arena of Electronics and Computer education in Malabar, initiated by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD), an autonomous, scientific society established by the Govt. of Kerala. The college was established in the year 1993 and has become instrumental in new fangled waves by offering quality education with unrelenting precision and alacrity.

The College facilitates MSc Electronics, MSc Computer Science, M. Com. (2 years), BSc Electronics Honors, BSc Computer Science Honors, BSc Maths Honors, Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Honors, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Honors, B.Com With Computer Application Honors & B.A English Honors (4 years) courses affiliated to University of Calicut (under the 4 Year UG Program - FYUGP) , in semester system. It also provides one-year IHRD courses such as Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) and Diploma in Data entry Techniques and PC Maintenance (DDT and PCM). Multifarious short term training programs in the area of Electronics and Computer Science too are offered.
