Computer Laboratory

SOFTWARE LAB

College has an impeccably furnished computer lab that houses close to 100 computer terminals networked and administered by efficient administrators. The lab choreographs the connectivity needs for the completely automated campus. The primary purpose of computer lab is to provide IT infrastructure services to all students. It supports regular lab activities for Computer Hardware Engineering and Electronics And Communications Batches, academic research, study, class assignments and campus recruitment drive. Students have access to the lab from 8.30am to 6pm. College has excellent audio-visual facilities which are regularly used by all the departments for conducting presentations and seminars, documentaries on relevant topics, etc. College conduct various training programs like Malayalam computing, Hardware and Electronics Mechanics. College has efficient college site and blog coordinating comities that periodically update changes.

HARDWARE LAB

Hardware Lab provides process of reviewing, diagnosing, identifying operational or technical problems within a hardware device or equipment. It aims to resolve physical and or logical problems and issues within a computing hardware. Hardware troubleshooting processes primarily aim to resolve computer hardware problems using a systematic approach. The process starts by first identifying the problem and finding different issues that can cause such a problem and eventually leading to implementing a solution or alternative. Hardware lab also offers practical computer networking skills training and troubleshooting is the collective measures and processes used to identify, diagnose and resolve problems and issues within a computer network.

Simon Skaria’s mission is to empower consumers and organizations achieve more by revolutionizing how they collaborate, educate, and entertain using Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

At Microsoft, Simon leads Mixed Reality Product for collaboration, social, gaming and entertainment experiences. In his role he is accountable for Mixed Reality Presence, Spatial Maps, Holographic Rendering, and Multiuser Synchronization and the developer platform across Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, phones, PC and Mac. He also leads Mixed Reality integration across Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365, and the ecosystem of ISV partners. Simon is a passionate leader who was instrumental in the launch of Microsoft Mesh, HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Prior to his role in Mixed Reality, Simon was a leader in Microsoft Office's transition to the cloud by driving changes in technology, culture and go-to-market. Before Microsoft, he was the founding CEO of Albits Inc, a company enabling remote collaboration and virtual events to its successful exit.

Simon holds a MS in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine and MS in Statistics and Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Simon’s first foray in computers was with the first batch of B.Sc. Computer Science at College of Applied Sciences, Calicut.
